Obituary of Carrell O'Keefe

Carrell Dean O’Keefe, 91, of Mendham N.J. went home to be with the Lord on May 17, 2025 in Pennsylvania. A memorial service was held at Hilltop Cemetery for immediate family.

Carrell was born February 11, 1934, the only child of Howard and Laura (Day) Dean. Her husband of 53 years, Donald R. O’Keefe preceded her in death, 2006. 

Carrell is survived by two sons, Allan (Melissa) of Pennsylvania and Brian ”Luke” of Hackettstown, NJ, five grandchildren, Carl (Jessica) , Allison (Christopher Heinzerling), Erin (Paul Salman), Ryan, Dan (Angela) and three great grandchildren, Ella O’Keefe, Zachary and Ava Salman.

Carrell was a devoted daughter, wife, mother , homemaker. She enjoyed baking, knitting, and hosting company. She showed love and appreciation for others through cards and correspondence. She grew in her faith by seeking in prayer and scripture a deeper relationship with God. She lived a full and blessed life and will be truly missed.
