Obituary of Brian M. Davis

Brian M. Davis passed away at home on May 17, 2025. He was 56 years old.

Born in Clearwater, FL, to parents Brian and Barbara (Wright) Davis, Brian lived in Orlando, FL, Montana, and Wannsee, Germany, before settling in Randoph, NJ, where he has been a resident for the last 10 years.

Brian was the ultimate sports fan. He loved watching all sports, but especially loved playing golf and shooting pool, a pastime that led him to meeting his beloved wife. He enjoyed playing golf with his wife and his boys on the weekends as well as organizing BBQ events as he loved to spend time with all the kids and family. He also enjoyed white water rafting with his friends in Montana who took to calling him “The Rabid River Runner.” Brian was a social butterfly and made friends with ease. He enjoyed being with and helping others, as he spent 15 years as a social worker, assisting people with mental illnesses care for themselves. Caretaking came naturally to him, as he not only moved his mother up from Florida to New Jersey to care for her, but he also left his career to be a stay-at-home father to his three precious sons. He loved the time he got to spend with and taking care of his family.

Brian is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Helen Davis, his sons Brian, Matthew and Elijah Davis, his mother Barbara Davis, nephews Kaled Sutterby, Derek and David Schmith, niece Kathleen Serino, and Aunt Diane Stokes. He is predeceased by his father Brian Davis, and sisters Leslie and Kelly.

Friends and family are invited to gather on Sunday, May 25, at 1 PM for visitation at the Bailey Funeral Home, 8 Hilltop Road, Mendham, with a memorial service beginning at 1:45 PM in the funeral home. Donations in Brian’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
