Obituary of Agnes A. Apgar

Agnes A. Apgar died on May 26, 2010 at her home in Mendham. She was 96. Born in Schenectady, NY she received her early education in a one room school house in Connecticut. She and her family later to moved to New Jersey where she completed her education, married and resided the rest of her life in her beloved Mendham. Mrs. Apgar gave generously of her time and money to others. She was a Charter Member of the Mendham Borough Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and the Mendham Senior Citizens. She was a longtime member of The Hilltop Presbyterian Church. She worked for 20 years in Mendham Borough Post Office. Her family will remember her as a very sweet person who was filled with kindness and non judgmental caring. Survivors include her children John of Mendham and Richard of NC. She is also survived by her three grandchildren Richard, Robert and Susan and her 4 great-grandchildren Samantha, Isabella, Kirsten and Jakob. Visitation will be held on Friday from 1-5pm at the Bailey Funeral Home, 8 Hilltop Rd., Mendham. A graveside service will be held on Saturday at 12 noon at Hilltop Cemetery, Mendham.
