Obituary of Beatrice Terry

Peapack - Beatrice M. Terry died on April 1, 2011 at Morris Hills Center in Morristown after a long illness. She was 98. Born in Flemington to the late Alvah and Grace (La Tourette) Lane on December 8, 1912, she was a resident of Peapack from 1936 until moving to Morris Plains in 2002. She was a secretary for W. C. Horton Insurance Agency in Califon for over 44 years until her retirement in 1985. She was a long-time member of the Peapack Reformed Church. She served the church for many years as a Sunday School teacher, and the church Ladies' Guild. Mrs. Terry served as the treasurer of the Peapack Gladstone Library Board for many years, was a member of the Peapack Gladstone Women's Club for over 66 years, and a member of the Happy Rockers. She was predeceased by her husband Percy In 1994. Mrs. Terry is survived by her son George and his wife Mary of Morris Plains, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at the Peapack Reformed Church on Main Street at 11:00 AM. Everyone will meet at church at 10:45 AM.
