I worked closely with August at the PCAOB since he joined the organization in 2005. I will always remember August as an enthusiastic inspector that was detailed and fair and had the overall mission of the organization at heart. He was a good friend and colleague, a dedicated family man and a true sports fanatic (at least for the teams he supported). He will be missed and his place will never be filled in our hearts. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family, especially his wife, Laura, who was always by his side and caring for him.
