Meeson Michenfelder

Obituary of Meeson M Michenfelder

Meeson M. Michenfelder of Mendham went to be with her deceased husband, John F. Michenfelder, peacefully December 26th, in Pittsboro, North Carolina.

The two of them moved to Mendham after getting married in 1947, and John serving in the US Marine Corps during World War II. These two Members of the greatest generation built a great home for their family at 7 Maple Avenue. It was a home that their kids Susan, Jack, and Pete grew-up in and thoroughly enjoyed, for many years. That neighborhood was filled with friends, softball games, hide and seek, wiffleball games, swimming and ice skating at Cosma Lake, numerous Halloween antics, and cherished memories!

Meeson was a homemaker, former model, artist, and an active Member of Hilltop Presbyterian Church. She loved her husband, her kids and grandkids, her dogs, and the many generations of neighborhood deer she and John would feed each day.

Meeson leaves behind daughter Susan and her Fiancé, John Lawless, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; son Jack and his wife, Stony, of Sanford, North Carolina, and son Pete and his wife, Joyce, of Augusta, Georgia, grandchildren Matthew and his family of Charleston, South Carolina; grandson Eric and his family of Grovetown, Georgia; grandson John and his family of Apex, North Carolina, and granddaughter Abby and her husband of Durham, North Carolina, plus four great grandchildren. Meeson and John will spend eternity together at Hilltop Cemetery  in Mendham, NJ.
