Obituary of Teresa Anne McCullough

Anne Lennon McCullough, of Gladstone, passed away peacefully on Jan. 29, 2024, in Bridgewater, NJ.  She was 89.

Born in New York, NY to Mary O’Hara Lennon and LeRoy L. Lennon, she grew up in the Bronx. She was a proud graduate of Holy Rosary Elementary School, St Thomas Acquinas High School and The Wood School. The family first lived in Hawthorne, NY where she was active in the Home School Association.  She and her family moved to Gladstone during 1976 and spent many wonderful years there.

Professionally, she worked as an executive secretary for American Can and then for AT&T, where she spent many years before retiring. After retiring, she volunteered for multiple organizations among them the Thrift Shop at the Gladstone United Methodist Church, the soup kitchen in Somerville and the St Luke’s Knitting group which provided garments for the hospital bound and indigent sailors. She loved helping others.

Anne was known for her love of children.  She knew the names of all the children in the neighborhood and later, the children’s children.  To some she was the ‘cookie lady’ and to others, the cake lady.

She is survived by her husband, Richard McCullough, daughter, Noreen McCullough (David Wright), son, William McCullough (Paisley McCullough). She is also survived by her sister, Dorothy Kosiewicz.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 2nd, 2-4pm & 6-8pm at the Bailey Funeral Home, 176 Main St. Peapack.  Funeral Mass Saturday 11:00 am at St. Brigid Church.  Interment will be private.
