Obituary of Helene V. Tiscornia

Helene V. (Rezler) Tiscornia died Friday, Dec. 23, 2011, at her home in Mendham. She was 93. Born in Jersey City, she moved to Mendham in 1961. Mrs. Tiscornia was a homemaker. She also was a substitute teacher in Mendham. Mrs. Tiscornia was a member of the Mendham Area Senior Citizens and a den leader for the Mendham Cub Scouts. She and her husband also wintered in Estero, Fla., for many years in a retirement community. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph R. Tiscornia Sr.; her son, Joseph R. Tiscornia Jr.; and her sisters, Jean Somers and Sue Cymer. Survivors include her two sons, John and Charles Tiscornia. A private family funeral service was held Wednesday, Dec. 28. Interment was in Mendham Hilltop Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a gift to the Mendham First Aid Squad.
