I graduated Georgetown Med with Charles. We were together in at least one or two third and fourth year clinic groups, ( along with now Drs. Marder,Smuckler,Grossman, and Lubetkin that I can recall). I remember him as “Chuck”. Probably in about 1976/77, Louetta visited in DC and he introduced her. They were very happy. I have that as a fond memory of him as well as he being very kind and focused. My condolences to his family, friends, acquaintances, and patients.

Dr. Shioleno was literally my hero and I worshipped the ground he walked on. I felt that his expertise didn’t just span the medical field. He was also a master in subjects of law, finance and politics. To me, his greatest asset was his ability to remember his patients and their families and treat them like they were part of his own family.
I don’t think I will ever get over the fact that he is gone.

With my condolences and sympathy to the entire Shioleno Family. It was my life-changing good fortune that Dr. Shioleno was my cardiologist for 20 years. And in addition to his diagnostic brilliance, I will always remember his smile and engaging enthusiasm every time he greeted me on a visit to Atlantic Cardiology. Thank You Dr. Shioleno, from the Bottom of The Heart that you kept well.

Another recent memory from January 2024 with Chas, Lew, Steve Nesbit and Randy Barko who went to Cathedral Prep High school with Chas and Lew, as well as attending Notre Dame with Steve and the two brothers. We shared an awesome weekend in Morristown watching football and enjoying great meals at home and at restaurants. It was uplifting for Chas and all of us. We were so happy to spend quality time with each other one last time. We love you Chas!

Dr. Shioleno was my cardiologist from his early days at Morris County Cardiology up to his retirement. During my visits with him we talked about my health plus a wide range issues. I was always impressed with his scope of life outside cardiology. He was kind, engaging, a brilliant physician and wonderful person who loved life and his family. I will certainly miss him.

Our sympathies to the family of Chas Shioleno. May you find comfort in the arms of the Almighty and peace in all the memories of your time together. While we did not personally know Chas, we got to know his proud father, Lew, when he moved back to North East and married Lois. We also connected in the Family Tree-with the Rizzos and Shiolenos. And Lois and Lew sat in the row in front of us in church each Sunday. David and Elaine Ruggiero, Harbor Creek, PA

Dear Charles, John Michael just shared the very sad news about your dad. I remember you telling me what it was like living with your parents when you were studying for the bar, and, in particular, the special time you had with your dad. Sending you, your sister, your mom, and your family my thoughts and prayers, Joanna

God Bless you Chas. You were a great doctor, especially caring for my wife and seeing her through her open-heart surgery and beyond. You were always there if a medical question would arise, to offer your advice. I often thought of you treating your patients not only as a Cardiologist, but for all of their health concerns. I enjoyed playing golf with you and seeing your great swing, a true student of the game. You will be missed immensely, as you were a true friend. May the good Lord have your soul Rest in Peace.

I met Chas when we were just 17 years young and to think 57 years later, we remain friends throughout our life. I will miss his Wisdom, Encouragement, Medical knowledge and helping me through some difficult times. He was a true friend. They say in life if you can count five individuals on your hand, you’ve lived a pretty good life, Well, Chas would be number one. I had the privilege to speak to him just a day or two before he passed and we shared some fond memories, I continue to feel an emptiness since his passing, I will miss him, May he rest in peace in God‘s heavenly kingdom God bless you, my friend, and thanks for the memories, Steve “Stevie”

“Uncle” Chas was my father’s best friend. I have fond memories of visiting him and my Godmother, Aunt Louetta, during the summers in New Jersey growing up. I’ll never forget the year that him and my Dad won the Member-Guest tournament at Roxiticus.
As I grew older, he would always pick up my call if I had a question, and supported my family and I through some tough times over the years. He will be missed dearly, and will remain in my heart for the rest of my days.
Sending love and big hugs.

Dr. Charles Shioleno was my boss from 1996 to 2009. I knew him long before I worked for him at his office because I worked in the Cardiac Cath Lab in Morristown and before that during my Cardiology Tech training.
"Chuck" was a Mentor, Friend, Boss and a man that I admired greatly. His great love for the profession of medicine was admired by all who worked for him and the many patients he cared for.
I will miss him dearly and remember him with love and admiration.

As Chas' younger and only brother I had a unique relationship with him. We shared so many moments throughout our lifetime. He was a gifted and very special man. We competed in so many sports together growing up and through college. I will miss him dearly.
