Obituary of Gail Moro

Gail Moro passed peacefully on August 16, 2024.  She was 81 years old.

She was born in Maplewood, NJ to Thomas and Winifred Hunt (nee Conroy) and the family settled in Morristown.  Gail graduated from Morristown High School.  She was a woman of faith and a parishioner of Assumption Church in Morristown. 

Gail and her husband Dennis were married October 24, 1987.  Gail was the personality of Moro’s Automotive Service making appointments and friendships with all her clients.  She was also able to experience joy (and sometimes angst) of working with her children at points in the life of the business.

Her life revolved around the spirit of Christmas (all year long).  In June all the grandkids would get the dreaded call from Nan.  “What do you want for Christmas?”  The home interior was completely decorated by the end of October.  November and December were used for tweaking the decorations. 

Gail was predeceased by her parents Thomas & Winifred and her sister Peggy.  She is survived by her husband Dennis and her children Bobby (DeDe), Patti (Ken), Chrissy, Bill, Michael (Katie), Lori (Brad), & Julie, her grandchildren; Justin, Brittany, Taylor, Cassie, Trisha (Andrew), Jessica (John), Scott, John, Matthew, Brian, Zach & Madeline and great-grandchildren Logen, Brooklyn, Blake, Giavanna, & Layla.  The grandchildren and great-grandchildren always made her day with live interactions and pictures right up till the end.

She is also survived by the many great friendships made over her lifetime.  They were very important to her, especially the Friday night friends. 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 20^th from 4-8pm at Bailey Funeral Home, 8 Hilltop Road, Mendham.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 21^st at 10am at Church of the Assumption, 91 Maple Ave., Morristown, NJ 07960. In lieu of flowers, donations to Market Street Mission in Gail’s honor would be appreciated.
