Obituary of Michael Albert Mistove

Michael A. Mistove passed away on October 24, 2024. He was 62 years old.

Born in Plainfield, NJ, to parents William and Patricia (Fitzsimmons) Mistove, Michael grew up and lived in Piscataway for most of his life before settling in Bedminster in 2009.

Michael was an active and hands-on kind of person, getting involved with many sports growing up. His love for football and baseball led him to joining several teams as a child, playing in many little league games. His interest in sports followed him his whole life and as an adult, he enjoyed playing basketball recreationally, was involved in fantasy football leagues, and loved a good game of golf. He cheered for the Dallas Cowboys, the New York Yankees, and the San Antonio Spurs.  There was nothing Mike enjoyed more than a slice of pizza.  He could eat it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a snack.

Michael is pre-deceased by his father, William Mistove. He is survived by his mother, Patricia Mistove of Cape Coral, FL, his brother Ken (Nancy) Mistove of Simi Valley, CA, his aunt Barbara Gryl, and his cousin Karyl Rucci and her sons, Trevor and Tanner Rucci.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 28, from 4-7 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home, 176 Main Street, Peapack. A Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, October 29 at 11 AM at St. Brigid Church, 129 Main Street, Peapack. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Basking Ridge. In lieu of flowers, donations in Michael’s memory may be made to St. Jude
