Obituary of Stephanie Gunderson
Stephanie Ficula Gunderson died at Morristown Memorial Hospital on January 6, 2012 after a short illness. She was born in Morristown, NJ and grew up on Old Orchard Road in Brookside, NJ. Following graduation from Mendham High School, Stephanie worked as a loan officer at the Morris County Savings Bank and later, left a career as a Credit Service Representative at Tiffany & Co. to care for her beloved son, Ridar. The memory of her exuberant smile, her passion, and her fortitude remains to inspire those who loved her. She was deeply devoted to Ridar, the heart of her life, and to her family. Her celebration of life was reflected in her love for all children and animals, her beautiful gardens and in her joyful holiday decorations. She will be remembered as brave, compassionate, and kind by her family and many friends.
She was predeceased by her mother, Stephanie McCafferty and her father, John Ficula of Brookside, NJ. She will be profoundly missed by her son, Ridar Gunderson of Mt. Tabor, NJ, her three brothers, John Ficula of Maui, Hawaii, Daniel Ficula, of Whitehouse, NJ, Edward Ficula, of Chester, NJ, her sister, Elaine Lynch of Chester, NJ, and seven nieces and nephews whose lives were enriched by knowing her. A memorial service will be held later in the year. Donations may be made to Morristown Memorial Hospital in gratitude for their compassionate care.
