Obituary of Grantland "Chubb" Todd
Grantland "Chubb" Todd of Gladstone, died on March 14, 2012, at the House of the Good Shepherd in Hackettstown. He was 82.
He was born in Peapack-Gladstone and was a lifelong resident.
He served in the U.S. Army during Korea and attained the rank of Corporal.
He was the Plant Maintenance Foreman for Komline-Sanderson in Peapack where he worked for over 45 years before he retired in 2001.
Chubb was a Past Chief of the Peapack-Gladstone Fire Department.
In 2009 he was baptized as a Jehovah's Witness in the Stanhope, NJ congregation, prior to that he was a longtime member of the Presbyterian Church.
He was an avid NASCAR fan.
His wife Mary Perrone Todd died in 2004.
Survivors include his wife Violet Zintel Todd, one daughter Denise Loreti and her husband Frank of Easton, Pa, one sister Constance Christie of East Brunswick and one grandson Daniel Todd Loreti. He is also survived by many brothers and sisters in law and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 4-8pm at the Bailey Funeral Home,176 Main St., Peapack. The Fire Department will hold services at 7:15pm. Memorial Service at 7:45pm. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home on Sat. at 10am to pay final respects and then begin to depart for Holy Cross Cemetery at 10:30am.
