Obituary of Estelle M Girardy

Estelle M. Girardy died peacefully on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Lincoln Park Care Center. She was 72. She was born in Jersey City, NJ the daughter of Vincent and Mary Rone. She worked for Western Electric in Kearny where she met her husband Vincent A. Girardy. After they married, they moved to Ramsey in 1969. Mrs. Girardy was involved in community activities. She was President of the Ramsey Cooperative Nursery School, Cub Scout Den mother, PTO President of Tisdale School and Secretary of the Junior Woman's Club of Ramsey. After moving to Peapack-Gladstone in 1983 she joined the Peapack-Gladstone First Aid Squad. She attended the Raritan Valley Community College and graduated with a degree in Nursing. She worked for AT&T in Basking Ridge and retired in 1997. She was predeceased by her parents, Vincent and Mary Rone and by her husband, Vincent. She is survived by her sons, James and Matthew; nine beloved grandchildren; her brother, Vincent and his wife, a nephew, and niece and her family, a sister-in-law, many cousins, and her second family at Mendham Hills Community Church. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Bailey Funeral Home, 176 Main St., Peapack. Funeral Service Thursday 10 am at the Mendham Hills Community Church.
