Obituary of Helen J. Collester

Helen Collester died peacefully on June 8, 2012 at Morristown Medical Center. She was 64. Born in Sturgeon Bay, WI, her family moved to Texas, Mexico and Louisiana prior to moving to Randolph Township NJ. She and Judge Collester married 27 years ago and resided in Mendham NJ. Helen was a well known local artist who often did commissioned paintings of area homes. She was a longtime member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Randolph. Helen will be remembered for her thoughtfulness to so many friends and family and her artistic talents. Survivors include her husband; The Honorable Donald G. Collester, her father Rev Otto T. Zeeb, brothers Peter and Daniel Zeeb and their families, sisters Barbara Reynolds, Miriam Tower, Debbie Sweet and their families. She is also survived by her 2 grandchildren Liam and Kelsey Collester and 10 nieces and nephews and many Aunts and Uncles. Her mother Edith Rose Zeeb and her niece Katie Reynolds and her two step-sons Donald G. Collester III and William "Fritz" Collester pre-decease her. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3-7pm at the Bailey Funeral Home, 8 Hilltop Rd., Mendham. Funeral Service Monday 10:30am at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 319 Quaker Church Rd., Randolph.
