Obituary of Arthur W. Hyde

Arthur W Hyde passed away on May 30, 2012 at Morristown Memorial Hospital. He was 83. Born in Newark, NJ he lived in Chatham for many years before moving to Mendham in 2007. Mr. Hyde served in the U.S. Army from July 20, 1954 until June 19, 1956. After graduating from The New York Law School, Art began a trust career with Morgan Guaranty Trust Company of New York and later served as a Vice-President and Senior Trust Officer at Midlantic National Bank. Art founded Beacon Trust Company in 1987, where he served as chairman, president and chief executive officer for over 20 years. In the fall of 2008, he joined Regent Atlantic Capital as Senior Director of Business Development. Art served on the boards of the Newark Day Center and the Reeves-Reed Arboretum. He was a long time member of Canoe Brook Country Club where he enjoyed golfing. Survivors include his wife Isabel Welch, three sons; Christopher Hyde, Mark Hyde and Bruce Hyde; a step daughter Pamela Ordino; a stepson Gustavo Rivera, three sisters, Margo Plenge, Beth Hyde Whittemore and Audrey Thompson. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren. A Private family funeral service will be held in accordance with Art's wishes.
