Obituary of Mary Neuman Bartow
Mary Neuman Bartow passed away peacefully at home. She was 97.
Mrs. Bartow was born on October 5, 1914 in Albany, NY, to Leo and Helen Neuman.
Mary graduated from Emma Willard School in Troy, N.Y. and from Smith College, remaining a lifelong Smith College supporter. After college she worked at Steuben Glass in NYC. She was first married to George Mott and together they had a son, Richard Field Mott, II who predeceased her in 1982.
She lived in Bernardsville for 20 years before moving to Peapack in 1975.
Mary was involved for many years with The Community Service Society, Kips Bay Show House, The Cross Estate, Willowwood, the Somerset Hills Garden Club and was on the board of F.H.C.D.S. and the Quisset Yacht Club.
She was pre-deceased by her husband Philip in 1962. She is survived by her sons Key Bartow of Mill Neck, NY, and Frank Bartow of NYC and Millbrook, NY; Five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at St. John's on the Mountain on September 7th at 11 AM.
