Obituary of Deanna C. Connor

Frelinghuysen Twp. - Deanna C. Connor died on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Compassionate Care Hospice in Newton after a short battle with cancer. She was 67. Born in Dover on December 4, 1944 to the late August and Catherine (Blide) Neubauer, she lived in Stanhope before moving to Frelinghuysen 21 years ago. She was a graduate of Dover High School, Class of 1962. Mrs. Connor was a homemaker. She was previously employed at National Union Bank in Dover, and worked as a floral designer for Aquarius Florist in Stanhope before retiring. She was a long-time member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Dover and shopper for the church's food pantry; and a charter member of Abiding Peace Lutheran Church in Budd Lake serving on the church council, the building committee for the new church building, and served as Sunday School Superintendent. Mrs. Connor is survived by her husband of 48 years, Martin, who she married on September 5, 1964; two sons, Mark; and Duane and his wife Coleen; two grandchildren, Hunter and Jenna; her brother Carl and his wife Helen; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Arrangements are by the Bailey Funeral Home, 8 Hilltop Road, Mendham, NJ 07945. A private cremation was held at the convenience of the family. A Memorial Service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 123 East Blackwell Street, Dover, NJ 07801 on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested by the family in her memory to Trinity Lutheran Church, 123 East Blackwell Street, Dover, NJ 07801 to help support the food pantry.
