Obituary of Arthur Quimby

Arthur Quimby of Brick, NJ passed away on Sept. 26, 2013 after a short illness.  He was 59. He was born in Morristown and grew up in Mendham. When he married he and his wife moved to Brick in 1984. Art was a Purchasing Manager for Dow Jones, Inc. in Princeton for 25 years before retiring in 2009. He was active in P.O.A.C., an organization of parents that have autistic children. His family will remember him as a warm and loving father and husband.  He was a good friend to many people.  Art enjoyed sports,baseball in particular (Go Mets!).  Gardening and bird watching were also things he enjoyed. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife Linda Quimby (nee Kaylor) of Brick, two daughters Julianne Light (Timothy) of New Paltz, NY and Jennifer Quimby of Brick; one son Donald Quimby of Long Branch and one sister Janice Holz (Theodore) of Hackettstown.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday from 12 noon until 2:30 pm at the Bailey Funeral Home, 8 Hilltop Rd., Mendham.
