Obituary of Nicholas C Romano, Sr.
LINCOLN PARK – Nicholas C. Romano Sr. passed away at the Lincoln Park Renaissance Care Center on October 31, 2016 after a short illness. He was 88.
Born in Madison to the late Dominick and Vincenza (Sianato) Romano, he was a resident of Toms River and Mendham Borough for many years before moving to Lincoln Park last year.
He was a plumber for many years with the Pipefitters Union Local 274 of Hopatcong, was a member of the Fishing Club of Toms River, and a member of the Crossroads Baptist Church in Manchester.
Mr. Romano was predeceased by his first wife Rita (D Aloise) in 2002. He is survived by his wife Emma (Stutz), his son Nicholas C. Jr., two daughters Lynn Romano and Joyce Welker, his brother Bruno “Ron” Romano, his step daughter Ruth Poskitt, four grandchildren, one great-grandchild, four step-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 5, 2016 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, and a funeral service will celebrate his life at 12:00 PM, all at the funeral home. A private cremation will follow at a later date.
